究極進化したフルダイブRPGが現実よりもクソゲーだったら
Kyuukyoku Shinka shita Full Dive RPG ga Genjitsu yori mo Kusoge dattara
Author: Tsuchihi Light
Illustrator: Youta
Synopsis
Dull highschooler Yuuki Hiroshi obtained the Full Dive RPG “Kiwame Quest” through an unexpected turn of events. The game boasts of allowing its players to “experience the ultimate realism”, fully recreating the graphics, NPC behavior, and even the smell of grass and sensation of wind—failing to realize that the extreme realism caused it to be unclearable in addition to being too bothersome to play.
“There’s more than 10,000,000,000,000,000 flags!? And your physical abilities reflect that in real life!?”
“Yeah. It hurts when you’re hit and injuries take several days to heal. It’s the ultimate realistic game!”
The only reward is a sense of accomplishment. Come, let’s clear the world’s hardest stressful game!

I’ll see if I can manage to get it out this month, pray for my motivation. Anyway, nothing’s stopping you from learning Japanese and I highly recommend you do so.

Just I would like to tell you that I am still waiting for the translation of the Full dive LN. I hope you get the motivation to do so. Also, I would like to ask if you know away to buy a printed copy of this light novel in Japanese?
Thank you for the translation.

Sorry to disappoint you but I’m not feeling it yet. As for buying the novel, you can try https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/ and https://www.amazon.co.jp/ or if there is one where you live, Kinokuniya.

That’s ok. I will keep waiting. I hope you don’t feel pressured by this waiting of main.

Somehow I today rewatched last episode of Full Dive and again I was filled with determination to find english translation of this Light Novel on Google search engine. When I almost give up I found your post on reddit.
I thought that reading will be pain in the ass because I couldnt read Overlord light novel. But you translate this is simple English which is easy to read for non native English readers.
Thank you very much for this translation I will save this website in notepad and I will wait for further translations.

I’m glad you liked it. Perhaps the problem you have with Overlord is due to the writing style of the author. Read more and you will get better.

Hello. Thank you so much for the Full Dive translation. I had a feeling that the anime ended before the best part and now, thanks to this site, I confirmed that it was right. Amazing story. Really looking forward to next parts.

nice translations btw what are your top 3 anime

The first thing you need to do is learn kana, it’s pure memorization, I used an mobile app and just practised it daily. At the same time, you can learn the grammar using a textbook or some online guide, there’s plenty if you just google. For kanji, I also practised using some app and when you reach a basic level you should try to read a series you are interested in, with the help of a dictionary for any words you don’t know. Just keep immersing yourself and you will improve.

Would payment motivate you to to translate the last 2 chapters of volume 3? If you’re interested; contact me at sarteron@yahoo.com

No, I’m not translating for money. In the first place, my translation is not good enough that I would demand payment for it (even looking past the fact that it’s illegal).
Also, I think you are underestimating the cost of paying for a (legit) translation service. I googled and the first article I found mentioned that the rate for a translation from Japanese is $0.25 per word on average. Assuming the last 2 chapters are as long as the first 2 I did, around 23k words, that means it costs ~$5,750. Even if I charge you half price for that because I’m not certified, I don’t think you would be willing to pay $2,375, would you?
Anyway, I’m glad you think highly enough of my skills that you are willing to pay, but I’m not in the mood to continue the TL for Full Dive now. You can try reaching out to official English publishers to get them to license the series, or even learn the language and read it for yourself. If not, you’ll have to wait until someday when I or another translator pick up the series.

What do you think about furigana? Without furigana, I freeze rendering me unable to read.
I still practice every day translating Japanese news articles from NHK easy news and then rereading them to memorize new words. Besides that, I memorize just one or two words (From most 2000 common words) every day.

This NHK easy news looks like a great resource since they have furigana everywhere but I think you are overstretching yourself since they cover a wide range of topics and have many less used words too.
I suggest you use a textbook or some app to memorize the more common used words. For light novels, I think the grade 3 joyo kanji should be able to get you through it mostly along with a dictionary for words you don’t know. You should be trying to remember the meaning of the words instead of how it is pronounced with furigana, that can come later. The radicals can be a guide.
Rather than learn one or two words everyday, I suggest you work through the grades first, finish grade 1 and try to read some easy manga or light novel. Good luck.

Thank you for your advice. However, regarding replacing NHK easy news, I thought about it but because it has a variety of topics, It makes it more interesting to the reader. I triedSoatri reader which was very good, I find myself losing interest and find it not fun.

Sure, do what you think best. I still advice you to work through the grades though. Also, learning is not always fun, soldier on so that you know the basics, then you can move on to what interest you.

Looks like even after one year I cant see new chapter in english. And looks like it wouldnt be more.
Well I will be determined to find this but looks like English version for Full Dive doesnt exist in our universe currently.
Looks like even bribe was offered to you. I guess you could go around this making possible to donate you. And it would be legal. But as I see this is not something which would motivate you anyway.

Don’t be so down. 1 year would be enough to learn Japanese to a level where you can read something like Full Dive.

Haha I made this attempt when I was young but I fail. its only few thousands kanji with many more meanings to learn. Reading in English was pain in the ass. This would be some Berserk level of masochism.
I guess it would be much easier to copy paste everything to google translator and check if they manage to properly translate from Japanese to English

For something like light novels, around 2 thousand kanji shoukd be sufficient for understanding. Rare words you can just look up on a dictionary.
I in fact think machine translation can be a tool for personal learning, as long as it is not used for translating.

Sure I do, I bought it. But no, I can’t give it to you. I highly recommend you support the author by buying the book. If you can’t for some reason though, I’ll say that you can already find it on the internet but I won’t say how. That’s my final thoughts on this matter.
